Just to clarify, the new Zimbra cannot be used as a stand alone email client. It must be used in conjunction with a licensed Zimbra email server. After that, you can add other email accounts via IMAP, but the support for multiple accounts is lacking in the new version. I wish they would work on it a bit more than they have.
