Installation and Upgrade • Attempting to Evaluate, but need a license to do so?

Hi all,

Minor moment of frustration here...

We're a small MSP in the midwest of the United States.

I'm attempting to evaluate Zimbra for our internal use as well as potentially for customer use as well. I planned on doing that this weekend.

Ahead of time, I found several (it turns out they are out of date) how-to's on the internet that got me 95% of the way there, but apparently now Zimbra is requiring a license key, even for evaluation?

... and this key has to be provided by a human being, not something I can automatically download an evaluation key for 10-15-30 days?

This seems counter to the FOSS concept, and counter to even normal evaluation logic from businesses.

I can download a copy of a *lot* of software for evaluation, and then by providing my name, phone number, and email address, get an automatic evaluation key. Sure, someone follows up with me during normal business hours, but by then I've not wasted a weekend of "non-chaos, down time" when my customers aren't working. That's what happens during weekends, in my world.

So hey, Zimbra folks... Could you fix this logical flaw, please?

Thanks!
